Youth Camp

This 2 day camp is designed for athletes who are looking to step up their mental and physical game leading up to divisionals, and to give them a chance to climb at BlocHaven, the 2025 Youth Bouldering Divisionals host facility. This camp is recommended for competitors who have competed in a Regional, Divisional or National USA Climbing Event.

Led by Coaches Matt Jones (Jones Fitness and Performance) and BlocHaven Coaches, Chris Meacham and Julia Ernst.

Routesetting will be led by our Head Setter, Aaron Davis + a USAC National Level Guest Routesetter, and the BlocHaven routesetting Crew.

The goal of the camp is to provide athletes with an intensive preparation environment with both a rotational redpoint round and an onsight round to help instill confidence in their abilities for Championship level event.

Cost: $350

Cancelling/Refunds
  • If minimum attendee count is not met, a full refund will be issued.
  • Full refund is available if cancelling before 12/18
  • 50% refund is available if cancelling between 12/19 and 12/25
  • 25% refund is available if cancelling between 12/26 and 1/1
  • No refunds available after 1/1.

Matt has been training internationally competitive climbers for over a decade. He’s coached for Vertical World and Earth Treks and assisted countless youth athletes find success in the indoor competition scene as well as outdoors.

Daily Schedule

9am – 4:30pm

Each day will feature a simulation round of boulders + coaching feedback and review.

Additionally, participants will engage in competition tactics, mindset discussions and movement exercises. 

It will also include a debrief time with our coaches and scenarios for each athlete to work through.
 
 

SATURDAY

1 Onsight Round Mock Comp + Focus Group work

 
Day 1 will begin with introductions, then move to a mock Onsight round, break for lunch, and mental preparedness work as well as goal setting. 
 
It will also include a debrief time with our coaches plus more movement stations and scenarios for each athlete to work through.
 

SUNDAY

1 Onsight Round Mock Comp + Focus Group work

 
Day 2 will begin with another single Onsight round of climbs for each category including ISO, more focus group work, a debrief time with our coaches and some time to work with the coaches on any specific areas.
